The serial apart from a strong story line brings to notice many social issues along with humour. The story revolves around a couple Veena and Pathrose Gandhi. The two differ in political views. They are in different political parties. Pathrose supports the right party and is the president of Kannanghatta Grama Panchayat and also is a member of Gandhi Party. Where as Veena supports the left party and is the leader of the rival party of Pathrose. The couple share a special bond even though they have different opinions in political policies. They argue and fight for small reasons but they have love towards each other and shower each other with gifts for wedding anniversaries. They have a son named Nehru Lenin. The story is woven beautifully that is shows the present political scenario in Kerala too apart from being a family drama. The serial has comedy to the core and is a massive hot among the fans of Asianet.
