The serial is based on middle class families and their survival. The story revolves around the couple Sandhya and Krishnan. Because of the father of Sandhya and his immatured mind and behavior, Sandhya and Krishnan were separated and live life of their own in separate ways. Krishnan does not know that he and Sandhya have a daughter by name Neeraja. The story revolves around Neeraja too. The rest of the serial is about Neeraja fighting to claim her rights. The serial is woven in a way that it makes the audience feel that it happens in their own family. The mental agony of the separated couple and the problems they face before separation due to Sandhya dad is shown in beautiful way, which resembles real life. The artists have done justice to the roles they played and all them have done their role with dedication. The serial is named after the successful movie with the same name. The melodious title song of the serial is a hit and pleasant to hear.
