The story revolves around Umayal known as Uma and her four sons. Her life started in the struggling situations and hard life in a refugee camp in Rameshwaram. She was orphaned at the age of five.
Uma's husband is Krishna. The story is woven in a way that it attracts the fans instantly. How they face the trials and the turbulences in life is shown in an emotional way which touches the hearts of the audience. Attracted by the heart and humble beauty of Uma, Krishna marries her.
